Welcome!
After a lot back and forth, I finally decided to give blogging a try. I by no means consider myself a writer (probably my biggest fear of starting a blog) so bear with me....
I consider myself to be a creative individual. *Art and crafts* really get my juices goin! I majored in Interior Design from Purdue a few years ago. As everyone in the world knows, the economy is rough right now.... :: blah, blah, blah... :: Finding a job in that industry has been difficult. I'm currently doing the best job in the world; raising our handsome, smart, witty son! But I still need creativity in my life to keep from going INSANE. So after he goes to bed, it's go time! I spend my 'free' time (is there really any free time???) concentrating on everything from photography, interior design, sewing, jewelry making, etc. I just LOVE it! Which brings me to my next point...
I've loved photography ever since I stepped foot into a darkroom in high school. It's always been a passionate hobby of mine. My goal this year is to significantly step up my game. Over the years, I've become pretty proficient at landscape photography but I'm going to try to concentrate more on portraits and lifestyle photography (I'm sure landscapes and many pictures of my kid(s) and dog will end up in here too... I can't help it, they're just so CUTE!) Again, I'm looking to improve my skills so any constructive critisicm or praise (from pros or people who just like looking at pictures) is appreciated!
My initial intent for this blog is to showcase my 'Journey of a Photog' and better my skills but I'm sure I'll write about other 'happenings' in my life as well. Thanks for stopping by!
